Quelimane: PRM officer arrested for involvement in the theft of a vehicle
An officer from the Republic of Mozambique Police (PRM), assigned to the Zambézia Provincial Command, has been arrested in connection with the theft of a Toyota Land Cruiser single-cabin vehicle belonging to the Casa das Frutas supermarket in the city of Quelimane..
According to a Txopela newspaperIn addition to the PRM officer, two other people are in custody, while the fourth suspect is on the run.

Later, according to the spokesman for the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) in Zambézia, Maximino Amílcar, the vehicle was found partially dismantled in a house in the Manhaua neighborhood, allegedly rented by a citizen identified as a mechanic, who is believed to be one of the masterminds of the crime and who is still on the run.
The PRM agent played a decisive role in the theft of the car. "It was this officer who forged the car key and drove it to the place where it was to be dismantled. This is a case that calls for greater vigilance and speed in the actions of the investigative authorities, given the involvement of members of the forces of law and order," said Amílcar.
At the public presentation of the suspects this week, one of the detainees denied any involvement in the crime, while the other two chose not to make any statements to the press.
