Moçambique partilha experiência no combate ao terrorismo na Cimeira da SADC

Tomorrow, at the 45th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, Mozambique will share its experience in combating terrorism in the province of Cabo Delgado.

The information, according to "Notícias", was shared yesterday in Antananarivo by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Mozambican Communities Abroad, Maria de Fátima Manso, on the sidelines of the SADC Troika meeting, held yesterday in the Malagasy capital.

Maria de Fátima Manso said that although the summit will focus on industrialization, the promotion of agriculture and the energy component, the President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, will address issues related to peace and security, by sharing the progress made in combating terrorism in Cabo Delgado.

She said that the summit was preceded by technical and ministerial meetings that culminated in the recommendations to be debated during the event.

He noted that the summit, which is taking place under the slogan "Promoting Industrialization, Agricultural Transformation and Energy Transition for a Resilient SADC", aims to strengthen the commitment of member countries in these matters.

According to the source, the summit will also be marked by the passing of the SADC rotating presidency to Malagasy Head of State Andry Rajoelina, who succeeds his Zimbabwean counterpart, Emmerson Mnangagwa.
