Moçambique autorizou 115 novos projectos de investimento avaliados em 5 MM$ no primeiro semestre

In the first half of this year, the Mozambican government authorized 115 investment projects, budgeted at approximately 5 billion dollars (316 billion meticais), with the potential to create around 17,000 jobs.

The information was given this Saturday (30) by the Prime Minister, Benvinda Levi, during the closing ceremony of the 60th edition of the Maputo International Fair - FACIM 2025, which has been taking place since Monday (25) at the Ricatla International Fairs and Exhibitions Center, located in the district of Marracuene, Maputo province.

"Of the projects approved, Green Energy Mozambique stands out, with a total investment of 3 billion dollars and the potential to generate 10,000 jobs," she said.

The project aims to build and manage an industrial park made up of mineral processing units for the production of titanium dioxide, aluminum, steel, cement, batteries and solar panels, among others, to be set up in Sofala province.

Speaking about FACIM 2025, the Prime Minister said that the exhibition of goods and services in the various pavilions at the fair reflects the pulse of the economy, highlighting the importance of seminars and thematic events aimed at promoting investment to increase production, supply the domestic market and exports.

In her closing speech, she announced the participation of 2,334 national exhibitors, 180 foreigners from 28 countries, representatives of the state and the private sector from all provinces.

Levi stressed that his visit to the different pavilions showed the high level of creativity, quality, innovation and diversification of the goods and services on display, with an emphasis on agricultural products, manufactured goods, communication and information technology services, health services and the cultural and creative industries.
